H&H Law Group

The firm

A GTA firm built for matters that overlap

Most people meet a lawyer at a point in their life they did not plan for. What they need first is not advocacy; it is an accurate picture of where they stand.

Who we are

H&H Law Group is a law firm based in Mississauga, with offices on Cawthra Road and at Village Centre Place, and a third office in Oakville. We serve clients across Peel, Halton, and the wider Greater Toronto Area, and we act for clients throughout Ontario by phone and video.

We practise in five areas: family law, corporate and business law, real estate, wills and estates, and immigration. That combination is deliberate rather than accidental. The problems clients actually bring us do not respect those boundaries.

Why the practice areas sit together

A separating spouse who owns a corporation has a family law problem, a corporate valuation problem, and usually a real estate problem, all at once. A business owner buying out a partner needs the shareholder agreement, the tax structure, and a will that reflects what they now own. A family sponsoring a relative may also be buying a property and putting a power of attorney in place.

Handled by three separate firms, those files move at the speed of the slowest hand-off, and each firm bills to learn the same facts. Handled together, the strategy is consistent and nothing sits in the gap between advisors.

How we work

Files are worked by the lawyer you met, and you are told what is happening on your matter without having to ask twice.

  • Straight answers. You will know where you actually stand at the first meeting, including the risks and the likely cost, not months and several invoices later.
  • Written estimates. You get a scope and a cost estimate before work starts, and you are told when a step is not worth what it will cost.
  • Documents you can read. Agreements drafted to be understood by the people signing them.
  • Proportionality. We will tell you when the legal fight costs more than the thing being fought over.
  • Settlement first, litigation ready. Most matters resolve. Files are built so that negotiating from strength is possible, because that is what makes settlement work.

Where we practise

Our offices are in Mississauga and Oakville. Family matters for Peel Region clients are heard in Brampton, and Halton matters in Milton, we appear in both regularly. Corporate, real estate, and estates work is done for clients anywhere in Ontario, and remote consultations are available throughout.

How we work

Four steps, and you always know which one you are on

  1. 01

    Consultation

You tell us what has happened and what you want to achieve. We tell you where you stand, what the process looks like, and what it is likely to cost.

  2. 02

    Strategy

We agree on the objective and the route to it (negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or court) and set out the steps and timelines in writing.

  3. 03

    Action

Documents drafted, disclosure exchanged, positions advanced. You are kept current on every material development, without having to chase us for it.

  4. 04

    Resolution

A signed agreement, a court order, or a completed transaction, with the paperwork in place to make it enforceable and the next steps explained.
