This website uses Google Analytics to count visits, and nothing else. There is no advertising, no profiling, and nothing about your visit is sold. The detail is below.
Scope
This policy explains how H&H Law Group collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information, in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and our professional obligations under the rules of the Law Society of Ontario.
What we collect
- Information you give us directly, name, contact details, and the details of your matter
- Information required to provide legal services, including financial and identification documents
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit this site, such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed

- To provide legal services and administer your file
- To check for conflicts of interest before accepting a retainer
- To meet identification and verification requirements under Law Society rules
- To communicate with you about your matter
- To meet our legal, regulatory, and insurance obligations
Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only as necessary to provide legal services (for example to opposing counsel, courts, or experts retained on your file), with your consent, or where required by law.
Retention and security
Client files are retained for the period required by Law Society rules and our professional obligations, and are then securely destroyed. We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser, which record a randomly generated identifier so that repeat visits from the same browser are not counted twice, along with the pages you view and general information such as approximate location, browser, and device type.
We use this only to see which pages are useful and where people are arriving from. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything you send us through the contact form or with any client file.
It is configured to limit what Google may do with the data. Your IP address is shortened before storage, and Google is explicitly instructed not to use this data for advertising personalisation, advertising targeting, or its cross-site advertising features. We run no advertising or social media tracking pixels of any kind.
How to opt out. You can decline analytics cookies through your browser settings, use your browser's private or incognito mode, or install Google's official Analytics opt-out add-on. Nothing on this website requires analytics cookies in order to work, so blocking them costs you nothing.
The fonts and images on this site are served from our own domain rather than from a content delivery network, specifically so that visiting a page here does not disclose your visit to a third party.
Other third parties
Our contact and enquiry forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which is what confirms a person rather than an automated script is submitting the form. It loads only on the pages that carry a form. To do its job, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical signals from your browser, and may store information within its own widget to remember that a check has been passed. Cloudflare states that Turnstile is not used to track individuals across websites and that the data is not used for advertising. If you would rather not use it, you can telephone or email us instead.
Apart from Google Analytics, described above, no other third party is involved. Enquiries submitted through this website are delivered directly to our own mailbox. They are not routed through, stored by, or processed by any external form service, and their contents are never sent to Google or to anyone else.
Information collected automatically
Two things are recorded automatically, and neither is used for marketing:
- Server logs. Our website host records standard web server access logs, which include IP addresses, the pages requested, and browser type. These are kept for security and diagnostic purposes and are not combined with any other information.
- Form abuse counters. To stop the contact form being used to send bulk messages, we count recent submissions per connection for one hour. The record is a one-way cryptographic value derived from the IP address, not the address itself, it holds nothing but timestamps, and it is deleted automatically once the hour has passed.
The contents of your message are never logged.
Where information is held
Our website and email are operated on servers provided by a third-party hosting company. Information transmitted through this website may therefore be stored or processed outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is held. Client files themselves are kept in accordance with our professional obligations.
Consent
By sending us information through this website, by email, or by telephone, you consent to our collecting and using it for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and professional restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to continue acting for you.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in respect of a matter involving a licensee’s professional conduct, the Law Society of Ontario.
